Last night we laid on the couch watching TV and spent your last few hours as a 12 yr old doing what we do best....just hanging out together.
Today you are 13....you are not a kid anymore but a teenager. It's still hard for me to come to grips with you being a teenager but I can't stop time and therefore you are a year older.
You have been saving your money to buy an XBox so with a little extra cash from us you got what you were hoping for.
In all reality your pretty easy to please on your birthday. Dinner at the Japanese restaurant (not for the food so much...
you like it when they light the onion on fire)....
and your Pinata. Every year since you were 3 you have had a Pinata. I figured this year you would finally outgrow it, but no....the first thing you said to me when you woke up was "Mom, don't forget my Pinata."
As you get older I start to wonder about what life is going to be like for you.
You see life so differently than most people and I love that about you.
You are such a special kid and every day I am your mom and thank God for such a wonderful gift He gave me.
Happy 13th birthday kiddo....
may this year be full of great adventures and lots of love.
